March 3,2011- Ferrier, Haiti Day 1
"On the plane from Ft. L to PAP. It was good to see some of the people from last year and to meet the new people. I am so happy that my mom and Maebell are going, This will be a great experience for all of us.Its going to be great going back and I cant wait to see everybody else and how things have changed....
We are staying at the Heartline guest house. It has electricity, nice showers, and fans everywhere. They have a store in the front where they sell things the women make. They are very well made and there are tons of things i'd like to fill my house with. We will tour the house when we come back Friday. We ordered pizza from the new pizza place down the street, it took forever but the pizza was good! We also ate lasagna and they had and ice maker! We had to stay at the house because we missed the first flight to Cap-Haitian. Half the group left and we stayed behind. So our flight is tomorrow morning at 7:15 am. Oh! they have internet and free calls to the U.S. I am a little bummed we are not in Ferrier yet, but I can say I don't mind these sleeping arrangements!"
It was so nice to be in Haiti again, even though it was not Ferrier. Just getting off the plane I felt like I was back home. This was my first time in Port-au-Prince since we didnt fly through here last year. I know it was not part of our schedule but I wish we could have ridden around and seen some of the city.
