Ode to Taffy

Sunday, March 6, 2011- Ferrier, Haiti Day 4

"Ode to Taffy"
Ohh how I love thee,
Saltwater taffy.
Your sweet banana flavor,
makes me want to savor-
Every last bite.
No.
I wont bite,
I will let you slowly dissolve on my tongue,
enjoying every last bananamazing moment of bliss,
and joy,
and peace.

"That was my poem about the banana saltwater taffy I ate today.  I havent had one in forever, it was so good!  This morning we went to church, and I was able to get some things on my camcorder before the battery died (good goin Bri).  While other people were getting the clinic together, I played with the kids.  Ricky bought me some sugarcane.  Cergi is doing much better today.  After Dr. Rob gave him his medicine last night he went to sleep and woke up a whole new baby.  He was standing up and laughing.  He has eaten a lot and is talking some.  It is crazy how all he needed was a little medicine and he changed overnight.  He drinks a lot of Gatorade!

Get it Midelene!

At the end of the day there was a Mardi Gras parade that stopped right in front of the house.  They sang the Haitian national anthem and danced. The women had glitter on their faces and paper hats and skirts.  The "Magicas" were there with their whips and there was a guy covered in tar chasing after people..."
